Arts
The Arts can provide a key to unlock children’s imagination and creative abilities. Pupils explore the visual, tactile and sensory qualities of materials and processes. They learn about the role of art, craft and design in their environment which helps them to become more confident in communicating what they feel. Children in years 4 and 5 visit the Southampton Art Gallery for tours and workshops.
Music and drama opportunities are also available to them through visits to St. Mary's College and school productions.
Children have an opportunity to perform in whole school plays which usually have a strong musical framework.
