College GCSE results Day 2010

IMG_2969_edited-1

Congratulations to all of our Year 11 for yet another excellent set of GCSE results. Although results are described as provisional until Thursday students gained, on average, 11 grade C or above awards, with the overall College performance of 94%  5 *A-C (inc. English and Maths). Year 10 also received their early entry results and modular components, 91% gained grade C  or above in English, 93% Maths and 81% RE. These statistics are higher than this time last year and would suggest the College is on track for great results in 2011. Well done to everyone and our best wishes and prayers go to all our Year 11 who now move onto further education. We look forward to seeing them all at Speech Day in October. Students in Year 10 and 11 can collect the official examination slips on Thursday from 10.30, assuming the post operates as expected.

Forty boys and fifteen Leaders enjoyed a fantastic week at the Diocesan Don Bosco Camp. Among them were several from the College and Charlton House (Year 6). Fahad Siddiqui was chosen as ‘Camper of the Year’  The majority of the Leaders are ex-College pupils who began many years ago at the age of eleven. (Five are in this particular photograph). You can also spot Tim McKeever who flew in from Bankok especially to take part.”
