Year 5 had a fantastic time learning about the Tudors, in particular King Henry VIII at his famous landmark Palace in Hampton. The guides were very knowledgeable and the children learnt lots of exciting facts to enhance their topic. They enjoyed a tour of the palace before taking part in a ‘hands-on’ workshop and dressing up in the rich clothes of the time. Year 5 behaved impeccably throughout their visit, well done.
Year 5 students from Charlton House have spent two mornings over the last week experiencing lessons in Biology, Chemistry, Design Technology, English, Maths and PE. I must thank them and all of the Year 10 students that help make the sessions such a positive and rewarding event.
There will be an opportunity for year 5 parents to see more of the work the students have undertaken next term at the Year 5 Information Evening on Tuesday 15th June in the College Library.

Both Year 7 classes have attended Park Place over the last two weeks. A big thank-you goes to them, Brother James and Fr Michael for making the sessions such a rewarding experience. The students have an opportunity to reflect on their first year and form stronger relationships with their peers. The experience remains important to the College as it reinforces our Christian values and places the concept and value of community firmly at the forefront of their minds.
Parents should look out for school photographs, they will be issued during the next week, these include individual, team and sibling pictures.
Fr Michael would like to inform parents that the Mass scheduled for the 14th May has now been postponed until Monday the 17th May, the College service at this new time will also incorporate the Year 11 leavers liturgy.
Year 11 completed their last Prom fund raising event on Friday with another well supported cake sale. The monies from this and all other events have meant they have raised in excess of £600 pounds this year!
