GALA CHAMPIONS
Charlton House swam to victory in the Southampton Primary Schools Swimming Gala held at The Quays – Swimming and Diving complex. 12 competitors, chosen from years 5 and 6 swam in a variety of individual events before working together in mixed medley races to complete a resounding win! Huge thanks go to all competitors, to Mrs. Barber for all her organisation and to those parents who helped at and supported the event. Well done!
Year 4 Art Gallery visit & Historic Past walkabout
Year 4 had a wonderful day touring the Southampton Art Gallery. They took part in a workshop creating sea scapes by using printing and pastel techniques – which demonstrated what good artistic talent they have.
In the afternoon year 4 became detectives, looking for clues concerning Southampton’s past. A tour of the city walls and historic buildings proved very educational.
