Spectacular Fireworks Display

The Annual bonfire night firework display was once more a very popular and successful event. In excess of 800 people attended this years display. The school dining room was swelled with past and present students with their family and friends. They enjoyed not only a spectacular display of pyrotechnics but also games, facepainting, fancydress, food and a well stocked bar. A very big thank-you must go to the PTA for their enormous efforts in organising the event, to all the volunteers both parents and staff that made every effort to ensure this event remains one of the most prominent on the schools calender.

A very big thank-you goes to Peter Gallagher (’Shirley Market’ stores Shirley), for supplying the Fireworks for the event._MG_0379 Read the rest of this entry »

Confirmation

Fr. Michael has given an updated letter to those in Year 9 who have expressed an interest in receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. This news is to be discussed at home by the Family immediately and he would value hearing of your decisions’ (note: Year Nine is the favoured year for receiving this Sacrament. There were no names given in at a recent Assembly  from Years 10 and 11 who declined while in year 9). College Five-a-side Competition

The Year 11 continue a pace to raise money for their school prom. This years five-a-side competition organised by Charlie White ( Head of Sports) takes place on Friday lunchtimes. Teams pay an entry fee which goes into the prom ‘account’. The sports prefects help manage the event which appears to be very popular with the students.soccer (6)

Fireworks Event

Just a quick note from the Parents’ Association to say a huge thank you to all volunteers who helped at this year’s fireworks event. With over eight hundred people attending, all volunteers worked very hard to make it a great evening.
